Charlotte Day Wilson is a 21 year old Toronto native, currently based out of Montreal. She writes and records her music independently and performs with a rotating group of young Toronto, Montreal and Halifax musicians. She also sings, plays sax and keys in neo-soul group, The WAYO. With roots in hip hop, jazz, soul and electronic music, she reveres those who have come before her while lulling us into a deep and encompassing sound that is simultaneously familiar and unknown.
“Her silky, powerful voice is incredible combined with her minimalist, James Blake-y instrumentation makes for an emotional and riveting set”

“A move to Halifax from her home in Toronto acted as the catalyst for the longtime singer and multi-instrumentalist’s adventures in songwriting, which resulted in what became her rich debut Palimpsest. “All I do is listen to music,” says Wilson, who recorded every bit of the six track EP on her own.”
