The Space Age
Halifax & Dartmouth, NS
The Space Age is a three-piece rock band who’s amped-up melodic tunes strike hard and heavy. The band was formed in 2011 by vocalist and guitarist Andy Patil (Matt Mays & El Torpedo) and drummer Greg Fry (The Heavy Blinkers). The band released ‘The Space Age EP’ in the same year and took their act from the studio to the live stage playing clubs and festivals across the Maritimes.
“The Space Age EP” received generous airplay on commercial radio stations in the region including spins on Live 105’s ‘Live Underground’ and Q104’s ‘Route 104’. The song ‘Little City’ was named one of the year’s top songs in 2011 on CKDUs ‘Halifax Is Burning’.
The band solidified it’s line-up in the summer of 2012 with the addition of Rockville Warrior bassist Roger Nelson.
The Space Age is currently recording a new ep with producer/artist AA Wallace that will be released this September. The band will be playing shows this summer throughout the Maritimes and Ontario.
